"In between visits to the salon, I do what I can to keep my roots covered. This new root erase by Revlon is easy to use. It goes on well and doesn’t make a mess all over. There’s no fragrance whatsoever which is great. Root Erase is small, compact, and fits perfectly in your purse or pocket. It didn’t cover my roots all the way, but it definitely looks better than before."
"Colorsilk Revlon Root Erase is really easy to use. The powder is in the cap and the applicator is a sponge that snaps into it. I've used several root cover ups and this one definitely does not have the side effects normally associated with a root cover up. First there is no residue left on your scalp, usually they tend to leave color there. And my hair still feels clean and not stiff like a spray. . I enjoyed this product."
"Wow! This works really well!!! It has great coverage without leaving a big buildup. There isn’t a mess, it’s very easy to use and it fits in your purse easily for touch ups if needed. It not only covers gray , it also covers sparse spots on your scalp. This is a great product!"
"ColorSilk Root Erase 07 Light Medium Blonde works okay. It does help conceal gray or white hair and thinning areas. It causes no irritations to the scalp and it is easy to wash out. However, it does weigh roots down a bit, can smear when touched, and doesn't completely obscure roots. It does help a lot, though. I am iffy about it."
"I was gifted this in exchange for my honest review. I would buy this for sure. The dark blonde matched my color perfectly. It had great coverage without feeling sticky or making my hair dry or greasy. It washes out without difficulty. The instructions were easy to read. It’s easy to open and apply. You just dab in the pot and dab on your scalp. Good to go"
"I love the formula because it doesn’t build up in by hair and covers the grey a bit. It soles quickly to my dry hair, but I did have to use several layers. I also thing dark brown would have worked a bit better, but I typically find root covers apply a bit darker than the color on the package. The powder has no smell and will be easier to travel with than a root spray. The cover didn’t rub off or run in the humidity."
"This a great product except that I unfortunately received the wrong shade for my current hair situation! I have naturally dark blonde hair that's currently bleached and dyed magenta, so this isn't very helpful for my roots. However, I normally dye my hair a much lighter, brighter blonde - so this will be perfect when I return to that shade. Love the compact tube with the secure twist off cap and easy sponge application. No mess!"
"Love the idea of this product. Especially when life is busy and you don’t have time to do root touchup. The design and application is easy to use on your own. It works better just down your part, it’s small so you aren’t going to get ALL your roots covered. Maybe I mess with my hair more than the average person, but I thought it wore off faster than the 24 hours the box boasts about."
"This Revlon Root Erase is very easy to use and the sponge applicator makes touch up quick and mess free. Shade 07 Light Medium Blonde covered my roots pretty good and blended better than I expected. The color is nice but it is a little lighter than my dyed hair color so the match isn’t 100% perfect. Still , it helps make my roots less noticeable ."
"I thought that this product was easy to apply and we tried it on my mom’s grays since she is blonde and it doesn’t match my dark hair color. It definitely deposited a noticeable blonde hue on top of the grays and is a good quick fix for roots but it did require two layers to really notice the color."
