Eye Shadow Palettes

Start with a light shade across the entire lid as a base, blend a medium shade into the crease for depth, and add a darker shade to the outer corner for definition. Finish with a shimmer shade on the lid center or inner corner to brighten the eye.

A basic palette with at least one light, one medium, and one dark shade is enough to create most everyday looks. Larger palettes offer more versatility for varied looks.

Matte shadows have no shine and work well for crease and contour work. Shimmer shadows reflect light and are best for highlighting the lid, brow bone, or inner corner.
